Weed Zapper Programming Update Instructions

Please download ALL 8 files for the 2024 season.

Current updates include the following modifications:

1. No more having to navigate multiple screens for the occasional SEAT SWITCH TEST.
2. No more changing screens to select WEED TYPE
3. Fixes the LOW VOLTAGE to TRANSFORMER false warning
4. Fixes the LOW SPEED due to ground radar calibrations

The following instructions are to be followed when downloading programming updates from our website.

1. Download the files from our website to your computer and open the download folder where they are now shown. THE FILE NAMES MUST APPEAR EXACTLY as shown after being loaded on the USB.
2. File Name EXAMPLES: TWZ-10193-HMI.znv TWZ-10193-PLC.zld TWZ-01201-MON.znv TWZ-01201-COM.zld TWZ-2021-MON.znv TWZ-2021-COM.zld TWZ-2022-MON.znv TWZ-2022-COM.zld
3. It is required that you open this folder and copy the individual files and not just copy the unopened folder. Then transfer the individual files onto a clean USB Flash Drive . NOTE: DELETE all folders/files on the USB flash drive before loading it with the new Weed Zapper files.
4. To transfer files, place mouse cursor over the downloaded files and HOLD the LEFT click button down (Click and Drag method).
5. While PRESSING and HOLDING the LEFT click button DOWN, DRAG the files, one at at time, to the USB drive window.
6. Once this is accomplished you should be ready to take the flash drive to your Weed Zapper and install the new programming files on your machine.

The following instructions are for installing the new files on your Weed Zapper monitor and computer.

1. Take note of or a Photo of the Screen at power up. This is to compare software version number’s after the update has been completed.
2. To install the updates to your machine, connect your monitor to the appropriate harness connections.
3. Turn power on to the monitor. Write down the current software versions shown at the bottom of the monitor screen. Insert the flash drive into the USB port on the right side of the monitor. An Update Instructions screen should appear on your monitor.
4. Press and hold the Update Monitor button on the lower left portion of the screen until a progress bar appears showing the data transfer. When this is complete, a pop-up window should appear notifying you the transfer is complete. Press the “Ack” Button to acknowledge this notification.
5. Remove the flash drive and press the “Ack” button that appears. Reinsert the flash drive and the update screen should appear again. Now press and hold the Computer Update button on the lower right portion of the screen until you see the progress bar appear. When the transfer is complete, press the “Ack” Button to acknowledge the update completion.
6. Compare the version numbers from the photo taken prior to updating, they should be different.

At this point, the software version on your opening monitor screen should be showing the new update. If so, you have successfully updated and are ready for machine operation.
